A Conference of the joint project „innovative Luftgestützte Urbane Mobilität”
Sustainability dimensions of urban air mobility
On April 27, 2023, a project group of the i-LUM network will organize a conference on "Sustainability Dimensions of Urban Air Mobility" at Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg. We will discuss various conceptual and empirical insights on the topic with interdisciplinary presentations by invited guests. A special focus will be given to environmental and social sustainability in the context of this new form of mobility.
Registration for the conference will be open early next year. Interested parties can already register on a list of participants. You will then be informed about the activation of the registration by mail. Please note that the event will be in German.
The i-LUM project was presented at the ITS World Congress 2021
From October 11 to 15, 2021, the ITS World Congress 2021 took place in Hamburg. The researchers of the project i-LUM presented first research results here. The joint stand of the Ministry of Science, Research, Equality and Districts presented other innovative and promising projects in addition to the i-LUM project, inviting visitors to linger.

From 11 to 15 October, the ITS World Congress 2021 will take place in Hamburg. Intelligent mobility and connected transport are key topics at the international cooperation. There, the i-LUM project will be presented, whereby the innovative concepts can be experienced directly and central questions can be discussed.
2 million euros for new research project Visionary Forms of Mobility
The major universities in the metropolitan region have joined forces to launch a new research project with other partners: iLUM stands for "Innovative Airborne Urban Mobility" and is intended to research airborne forms of mobility such as drones across disciplinary boundaries.
The overarching objective of the i-LUM joint project is the development and evaluation of the feasibility of innovative concepts and technologies for airborne urban mobility for the Hamburg Metropolitan Region in future scenarios (2040/2050).
What will the urban air transport of the future look like and how can it be designed? In a joint project in Hamburg, an overall concept for airborne mobility solutions is to be developed.
